Rachna Chhachhi, PhD, Holistic Nutrition, Certified Cancer Coach, is founder of RachnaRestores. She is a certified yoga teacher, and WHO task force certified in Malnutrition for infants and children. As a social health entrepreneur, Rachna specialises in reversal of chronic lifestyle diseases without medication. She gets invited to international medical & health conferences to share her case studies of disease reversal without medications across London, Europe, New York & Dubai, alongside medical specialists. She’s written 2 books, “Restore” and “You Can Beat Cancer”. Rachna practices across 27 countries to help prevent, manage and reverse lifestyle diseases like type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, hormonal imbalances, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, acne etc. However, she is best known for her work with autoimmune patients, and she helps them reverse their disease, which rheumatologists say is impossible. Mrs. Avnita Bir is the Principal of R N Podar School, Mumbai. She is a graduate in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College and Post-Graduate in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Mrs. Bir has worked in the field of Education for over three and a half decades. She has served as a member of the Governing Body of CBSE, the leading education board of the country. Mrs. Avnita Bir is the recipient of the prestigious National Award for Teachers (2009) conferred by the Hon’ble President of India. She has received the EQFI India Education Awards 2008 for Excellence in Education. She has also been honored by the President of Singapore for her contribution to the education sector. She was awarded the Microsoft Mentor School Award for Innovation in Education. Among many other awards and honours, she also received the FICCI Outstanding Woman Achiever Award for her work in the field of education. She was invited to Google, to speak at the Google Global Education Symposium at the Google HQ in Mountain View. She has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of Google’s GlobalEDU.org initiative. Sandhya Krishnan is an ICF certified coach focused on productivity, wellness and mindfulness. She has over 20 years of experience across industries as diverse as law, the media, art, technology, retail, and wellness. Besides leading teams in various organizations, Sandhya has been an entrepreneur, corporate trainer with clients from pharma, hospitality and investment banking, a radio jockey, theatre actor, voiceover artist and writer. She has been trained in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and the neurometric tool MiND (from UK based MyBrain International). Sandhya has led content, technology and operations teams in the dotcom space and was instrumental in creating India’s first online campus recruitment interface for law schools. Mahabanoo is trained as a microbiologist and geologist, but in her adult life took up her first passion – performance. She is an actor, director and producer in film, television, theatre and radio with over 60 credits to her name in India and abroad. She is also a social justice advocate working diligently in the arenas of women’s empowerment and trying to end violence against women globally. Mahabanoo has just been awarded the Karmaveer Puruskar Maharatna Award (a Rex and UN initiative) for her work in women’s and girl’s empowerment and social justice. In 2018 she received the inaugural H.E.R. Award for her commitment to women’s empowerment. In the same year she also was honored with the inaugural W.O.W. (Women of Wonder) Award for exemplary women achievers in various fields. Mahabanoo is also the cofounder of The Make-A –Difference Foundation which raises funds and awareness to combat violence against women and children. Recently she was selected for a prestigious Summer Directing Course at Yale University (USA). She has worked with Indian and international luminaries such as Amitabh Bachchan, Prunella Scales, Richard Johnson, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Shabana Azmi, and the late Om Puri amongst many others. Some of her best-known films are: Black, The Sixth Happiness, Buddha Mar Gaya, Afterglow, Vintage Rusi, amongst many others. As the owner of Poor-Box Productions, one of India’s premiere theatre companies Mahabanoo has produced, directed and starred in some of India’s most critically acclaimed works and longest-running shows in English and Hindi including Shirley Valentine, Art, (W)Hole In The Head! and now in its seventeenth year in India, The Vagina Monologues (in Hindi and English).

Sorab Wadia

Sorab Wadia has performed extensively across North America, Europe and Asia as an actor and singer in an eclectic mélange of projects ranging from The Play of Daniel, a medieval music-drama, to the notorious Jihad! The Musical on London’s West End. Recent musical productions include in the North American premieres of Bend It Like Beckham (Toronto) with Gurinder Chadha and Monsoon Wedding (Berkeley Repertory Theater) with Mira Nair. In 2016 he was honored to play Shylock #1 & Gratiano in Karin Coonrod’s historic production of The Merchant of Venice commemorating the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish Ghetto in Venice, Italy. This production was later remounted at Yale, Dartmouth and Peak Performances in Montclair, NJ. He has toured internationally with The Kite Runner, a one-man adaptation of the novel by Khaled Hosseini, directed by Wynn Handman, and garnered rave reviews for his performance as Ali Hakim on the two-year Broadway tour of Trevor Nunn’s production of Oklahoma! TV credits include: Madame Secretary, Blacklist: Redemption, Law & Order: SVU, 30 Rock, and Chapelle’s Show. Off-Broadway: Babette’s Feast & I Spy A Spy, both at Theatre of St. Clements, The Tempest (LaMama), Bunty Berman Presents… (The New Group), and the New York premiere of Cole Porter’s Nymph Errant, in which he starred opposite Tony-winner Cady Huffman. Sorab received two Masters degrees in music from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Tennessee and trained as an actor in NYC with Maggi Flanigan, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest teachers of the Meisner Technique.

Swati Das

Swati is a theatre and film actress who has straddled the academic as well as the performative sides of acting. Her M.Phil. thesis was on Gujarat’s folk theatre form, Bhavai. Her upcoming films include ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ (starring Ranveer Singh) and ‘Desert Dolphin’ (directed by Manjari Makijany). On the international front, she has performed in countries like Sweden and Czech Republic as part of international theatre companies. She did extensive training with the Act One theatre group and the Prague Shakespeare Company, performing in Europe a couple of years ago. One of her longest running plays in India is ‘The Vagina Monologues’ directed by Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal and Kaizaad Kotwal. She performs in both Hindi and English versions of this phenomenal play. She has also acted in many Hindi, Gujarati and English plays where she has worked with directors such as Lilette Dubey, Sunil Shanbag, Mahesh Dattani, Rajit Kapur and Manoj Shah. She has acted in films like ‘Bombay Talkies’ (directed by Zoya Akhtar), ‘Hindi Medium’ (alongside Irrfan Khan), ‘Beyond The Clouds’ (directed by Iranian director Majid Majidi) and ‘Space MOMs’(directed by Los Angeles based director Radha Bharadwaj). Her writing credits include a Doordarshan series titled ‘Yeh Hai India Meri Jaan’ directed by the national award-winning director Saeed Mirza. She has also written the screenplay for the short films ‘Grill’ and ‘Anaarkali’ (starring Ratna Pathak Shah).
